A hybrid of master-planned communities and bucolic landscapes dotted with smaller neighborhoods and unblemished open space, the unincorporated communities of Union Hill/Novelty Hill east of Redmond are pleasantly situated in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The hills are largely residential and home to a variety of home types, all with everyday amenities including groceries, schools, and parks nearby.
On Novelty Hill, the master-planned development includes Redmond Ridge, Trilogy, and Redmond Ridge East, referred to collectively as The Ridge. Designed for condominiums, townhomes, apartments, single-family, and senior-only homes, the area is surrounded by retail clusters, parks, trails, and The Golf Club at Redmond Ridge—a public course.
Outside of the development, most apparent at the peak of Union Hill, are homes set back the street with driveways that sneak up on the unaware. Tree-protected from the street, these homes offer privacy amid the Pacific Northwest arbor. Ranches are abundant on the hills, too. An equestrian community with legacy properties, horses are often taken for rides in the area’s parks, including Kathryn Taylor Equestrian Park, as well as Tolt Pipeline Park Trail, a path equine share with runners, cyclists, and strollers. And that’s just one of many routes residents can take by foot or by bike.
